So exciting!
In Style Magazine chose our Howes & Baum Brixton Hoodie as one of their “100 Perfect Presents” for the holidays!
I guess that uncomfortable date with the Editor was worth it. (just kidding. Although I would totally do that.)

Not to be a dick, but what makes this hoodie cost $175?

Can you tell me why your hoodie is $175. What puts that ahead of the polo hoodie i can buy at Marshalls for $20.

@Jeremy & Tim…
Marshalls sells clothes that didn’t sell elsewhere, which is why it is so discounted. We are a small clothing company, who makes a limited number of each garment, and we do have promotional sales from time to time, but at the moment, we fortunately haven’t had to dump the clothes into discount stores.
The reason our clothes are a higher price point, is because, frankly, we aren’t made in China. Our clothes are made from the highest quality cotton you can find, called Pima cotton from Peru. We use YKK zippers, tiger buttons, and other additional details that make them extraordinary.
We also spend a lot of money guaranteeing an excellent, athletic fit. That requires using an experienced designer, a fit model, and a factory that isn’t cheap.
This might not be important to you as a consumer, in which case a $20 Polo sweatshirt is perfect. But our H&B customers appreciate these details, the quality construction, and the exclusivity that comes with a Howes & Baum garment.
I do realize that there aren’t stores in Albany that cater to this market, which is why we are sold in smaller, higher-end boutiques in NYC, LA, Japan, and other larger cities worldwide.
We plan on having some trunk shows this holiday season in Albany, and I hope you stop by to check out the quality and craftsmanship of our Howes & Baum clothes for yourself.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Matt

Why does a Mercedes cost $80,000 when I can buy a perfectly fine Kia for $13,000?
