In case you have been wondering what is going to go in the location just shy of the overpass on Broadway in North Albany, I have the scoop.
For weeks I have been doing Nyquil shots before bed because I thought there was going to be another Chipotle or another german biergarten which just happens to have the same picnic tables, free peanuts and all our exact same beers  (grrr) opening right down the street.
But after speaking with the development company (I’m like a legit reporter!), they told me that a Sunoco / convenient store is opening up in that spot. Â Although I am partial to my Stewie’s (and Mike Vennard’s Citgo Garage) up the street, it will be nice to fill up on gas and cigarettes after 11:00pm.

Some biergartens that recently opened think that we all want to be served by ladies in matching boob-a-licious German costumes. They are wrong–I think it’s super awkward. Sorry, Troy.

It’s about time. There is NOWHERE to get gas in downtown Albany. And when you’re running your car on fumes, theres no way you’re gonna make it up the hill to Arbor Hill or Center Square!
