This week’s Friday Puppy Winner is a very handsome dog named Bailey from Coxsackie, NY & Wall, NJ.

We asked his owner, Carl, some questions, and this is what he had to say:

Why is Bailey from so many places?  Bailey is primarily a resident of Coxsackie with her Dad, but she also spends a lot of time with Mom at the Jersey Shore.

Why did you choose that name for your dog?  We thought “Bailey” had a nice ring to it and reminded me a little our other two dogs, Blackie (rest in peace) and Lefty.

How old is your dog?  She and her 11 siblings were born March 13, 2012, so just about 3 months.

Where did you get your dog?  Saw her brother’s picture online (friend’s college roommate had adopted) and just knew we wanted one!  So drove all the way to Plattsburgh to bring Bailey home.

What is your dog’s favorite treat to eat?  Cheese, cat food when we’re not quick enough, my arm and anything Lefty has.

What is your dog’s worst habit?  Waking up at 5:30 in the morning no matter what time she goes to bed, farting in the car, eating kitty litter and climbing IN the dishwasher to lick the dirty plates.

If your dog could speak, what would be his/her first sentence?  “Come on Lefty!  Play with me!!  Play with me!! Play! Play! Play!”

What is the worst thing your dog has ever done?  Peed on my girlfriend’s white carpet.

What kind of food do you give your dog?  Purina One Puppy Food (for large breeds)

Who is your dog’s best friend?  Lefty, who is a former Friday Puppy.  Lefty is part mastiff just like me, but she’s also part black lab; my other part is German Shepherd.

Why is your dog the best dog ever?  Well….she’s not there yet – but she will be.  Blackie and Lefty are the two best dogs that ever lived.  Bailey still has some learning to do from Lefty – but she’ll get there and then she’ll be the third best dog ever!  For now she’s a phenomenal learner and a great puppy.

Tell us a little story about your dog.  Bailey’s first time at the dog beach in Manasquan, NJ was eventful.  She was hesitant to go into the water, but when two other big, friendly dogs wanted to play, the water didn’t look quite so intimidating and she ran in and hid behind Mom and Dad until the other dogs went away.  That’s one way to get her in the water. At three months, she doesn’t have many life experiences.
