Craig Howes (former Friday Puppy blogger and friend in London) and I have started a menswear clothing line, beginning with the Fall ’12 season.
The line is called Howes & Baum.
We have just hired an incredible agency in NYC to represent us, and I’m so excited and nervous.
Follow us on Twitter to hear about the process and the ups & downs.

Thanks, everyone.

This makes me extra super-duper nostalgic for the days when I used to sell suits. Being able to accurately size up a man at one glance (literally – what size shirt/suit/pant does he wear) is a VERY useful flirting tool, I can tell you that much.

And you’re not going to tell us (a) how this all started; or (b) the type of clothes? tease.

Congratulations on what I’m sure will be another successful venture.
It will be exciting to see what is next in your growing list of accomplishments (book, politics, a line of vodka/cocktails?)…
Hard work and a vision/passion can be a powerful combination.

Baum and Howes would be a little more proper
Before you were born Matt , Ambercrombie and Fitch did not sell kids clothes, they sold the preppiest sport and work wear ever, croquet sets, leather stuffed animals , and evrything you needed, for polo, a safari, or a camping trip in the wild.
That was the aura I got when I heard these two names together, and saw that picture.
the best to you guys

We can follow process on Twitter? On Facebook? On Friday Puppy blog? Oh Matt, you’re amazing! How do you do it? (Or is it “why?” I always get those two mixed up.)
