A martini is a terrible thing to waste.

Orange anus.

I have never felt comfortable looking at this part of the orange.

I consider it to be the “anus” of the orange.  Is that wrong?

However, i do love a good, sweet, juicy orange.  When I was living in the south of Spain (well, la tee dahhh), all my spanish amigos ate oranges after every meal.  I remember thinking, “wait a minute, where’s the Entenmanns?”  But after a few weeks of sticky fingers, I came to really love a good orange after my paella.

My 10 favorite things relating to oranges include:

1. orange tic tacs

2. Orange Juliusesesses

3. Orangina with Ketel One.

4. Tang

5.  Wu-tang

6. Syracuse Orangemen

7. Eating oranges at halftime when I played AYSO soccer.

8.  Orange Emergen-C

9. Orange Crush sody pop.

10.  mimosas w/ veuve clicquot champers

BONUS:  Orange you glad I didn’t say banana?

I never knew exactly why until now, but I think this is why I prefer clementines to oranges.

This post just reminded me of the fantasy (and ruined my day) to one day move back and live in Southern Spain until I no longer know my name. For anyone who has never been to Spain and Southern Spain (Andalusia) in particular, a visit before you die is a must. If for no other reason, you ought to go to experience authentic paella and maybe for dessert an orange or ask a local where you can find some “chocolate” if you are adventurous.

Why did the orange go out with a prune?……Because he couldn’t find a date.

I think it’s the belly button of the orange. Isn’t that why they are called navel oranges?

I totally get it not everything that is nice to the pallet = brain is good to look at….that’s where the expression “turn a blind eye” comes from…..pleasure is a feeling sometimes hightened by visual and sometimes not that’s what eyelids and light switches are for lol

Ya’ know, you run a few great places, and….. being in the food business you of all people know about “navel oranges”, not anus oranges. And I’ll be there @ the game tomorrow.
