A martini is a terrible thing to waste.

Wigsticks.

In the past year in NYC, I have become friends with quite a few Drag Queens.

That’s right, middle America.   Drag Queens.

They’re amazing.  A few of them, my friends Steady Mess, Lily Putian and Ermine Muff are putting on a drag show called Wigsticks in Milford, Pennsylvania.   The show benefits The Upper Delaware GLBT Center.

I have my tickets and I will be going with @JeremyShug.

A verrrrrry straight friend of mine was asking what I was doing next weekend, and I was like, “Oh, I’m going to a drag show in the Poconos.”   You would have thought I said, “Oh, I’m beating up kittens on the moon.”    He didn’t get it.

If you get it, click on the image above to buy your tickets.

P.s. I think they missed out on an amazing opportunity to call the show “Fairy Tails”.

Wow, I was shocked to see this on your blog. I live in Albany, but I’m from Milford PA. My straight (I do question this often) little sister, 16, who I may add, is a champion for LGBT issues back home in Milford, is performing in the 3pm (Rated PG) show. I believe she is singing back up for a few songs. After the audition with one of the drag queens, she called me completely ecstatic that she made it into the show, and begged me to come see her. I assume you will be attending the 9pm (Rated X) show, which I wish I could stay for. If you have time to kill, stop by the Dimmick Inn for a martini. Enjoy Milford, where there are thousands of gays for every 1 street light (There’s only 1 street light).
