On Monday, April 30, there will be a showing of the documenter, “Madonna of the Mills: The Truth about Puppy Mills” in the Legislative Office Building.
The documentary will expose the growing number and horrible conditions at the puppy mills throughout New York State.

I have been telling people for years not to buy a puppy from a pet store and to go adopt instead. Of course it took Oprah to do a show on it to open the public’s eyes. One thing I did not know until her show was that many puppy mills are run by the Amish. Now I’ve lost all respect for them.

Puppy Mills = Sex Slavery
Any dog from a pet store, regardless of what the papers or the store tells you, is from a mill. The Amish are notorious. To them, dogs are nothing more than a way to make money. Totally inhumane.

Oh, and buyer beware… Some dogs sold on breeder websites and Craigslist are also from mills. Make sure you know what you’re doing. And stop supporting this cruelty.
