Today I went to my primary care physician (remember when you used to say “my doctor”?) for a vitamin B shot.
A few friends of mine in NYC get them, and they have the energy of a rabid Jack Russel terrier, Â so I thought about it for about 3 seconds and thought, I’m doing it.
Ever since I was a kid, I have taken a B complex vitamin. Â I am not a huge breakfast person, so anytime I would take the vitamin without food, my stomach would get upset. Â Although, in fairness, I was 14 years old, and I did have a lot on my mind what with the Cold War and all. Â So it could have been that.
But anytime I did take the vitamin, I noticed that i had a lot of energy throughout the day. Â I could pass notes faster in class. Â My hacky sack skills were off the charts awesome. Â And I remember feeling happier and less stressed.
So today I had my first vitamin B shot and I feel great. Â The doctor told me I could either come in once a month, or I could go to a health food store and buy some “sub lingual” pills which dissolve under your tongue. Â But I’d have to take them once a day, and considering that I have to set my iPhone alarm just to remember to brush my teeth, I feel a monthly shot might be the best choice.
I hope I continue to feel this great throughout the month.
