Hi – who’s the lucky voter who decided on our winners? I like this better – less of a popularity contest and more about the “cute stuff”! Also, somehow it seems almost unfair to put a puppy and adult dog in the same category. Any thought of maybe doing puppies one week and adult dogs the next, rather than having them compete against each other? My adult dogs are adorable, but wouldn’t stand a chance next to that yellow lab puppy! Thanks for keeping up with the blog even though it seems like your professional life just keeps getting busier!!!

Digging it. Also really like the “puppies one week, dogs the next” idea, because there are so many cute ones of each, only it’s a totally different kind of cuteness. Love the photo effect, btw, looks sharp.

I definitely will miss the voting, especially since it means we get to see more puppy pics. The alternating between puppies and adult dogs would be great, since it is a different type of cute for each.

I’m relieved I don’t have to decide anymore; it was getting to be too much pressure. I just want the candy-bar-for-my-head feeling when I look at pictures of a good looking dog or sweet puppy. I’m with Hopeful: change is good. Thanks Matt!

I like this idea. It’s easier for you, we still get to see cute pups and/or dogs every week, and three prizes are nice too. Cheaters always ruin the fun.

I like that you are picking the pups. All too often, there is ballot stuffing and it’s a popularity contest, which is ridiculous in what is supposed to be a fun contest!!
I think doing puppies one week, dogs the next is a great idea. I always thought it was unfair to have puppies competing against dogs — who can vote against a pair of huge eyes and little puppy buddha bellies??
Does Henry have a lady bug on his nose?? What a lucky guy!

I am with Hopeful – change is good! Embrace it! And if it doesn’t work out, you can always try something else. I don’t stop by to vote, but instead to see the awesome dogs!

I am fine with this format and even prefer it. My dog will take first every time so I am looking forward to it. If he does not, I suggest I be the one that makes the decisions. Haha. Nice, generous gifts!

This could be a great switch. Historically I liked to still see all the “ugly” dogs (There really is no such thing) that didn’t win. Maybe you can integrate something like that into this new version. A list of honorable mentions with photos?

Am I missing something hear. Where does it say, puppies one week and dogs the next. Whatever the majority is fine with me, but I like voting. Anyhow, how do people cheat? I must be slow at this computer thing.

Didn’t we already see these puppies before? I don’t get it. The blog is called Friday Puppy but there are less and less puppy dogs each week! I suggest MORE PUPPIES!
If you are going to pick the winners, I agree with BW – posting the runner-ups would be much appreciated.

I like the new format as well. I just want to see cute puppies, not people fighting over who’s getting more votes. Puppies one week and adults the next is a great idea, too. And YES to more puppies in general!

The yellow lab puppy’s name is Hardy…..sent in the info wrong lol. They are all cute.
