Friday Puppy fanatic, Nancy, sent us this Times Union video. Saratoga Springs socialite, Michele Riggi lives in a 20,000-square-foot mansion with her 36 dogs. I would like to see this become a reality show, or at least a “What it’s like to walk 36 dogs in Saratoga Springs” video. Sean, can you arrange this?

Michele is a sweet, generous lady. I met her when I was a 5th grader and she would bring me home from school and take me on weekend trips with her and her daughter. She’s a little eccentric but the “bad” she does (what, take down an old building??) is nothing compared to the good she has done for the arts community in Saratoga. I am glad she’s a neighbor in my little city that just happens to be thriving in these tough times.
There could be worse things that sounding a little goofy in your doggie voice.

So, really, what’s newsworthy about this? I read article in paper and not sure why she qualifies for taking up paper and ink. Maybe I missed something.

Ok – it sounds like she’s an ok lady who gives back to the community. And who can argue with someone who rescues all those dogs and treats them like Princes/Princesses (it appears). But, am I the only person that thinks it’s odd that a community would allow someone to own 36 dogs? If she was anyone else, wouldn’t the city/town be all over her to get her # down to 3 or 4? Many townships in the capital district have a limit. Hmmmm….I guess money really can buy happiness

I have to agree with you, Hopeful. And I don’t think there would be anything unique or interesting about the life of yet another rich woman who can’t move her face.

Jennifer you are a sad sad woman. If you didn’t think this topic was so interesting you probably wouldn’t be commenting on it now would you? Michele is my cousin and has worked so hard. She came from nothing. Probably similar to where you still are currently, which is fine! But do not belittle others with your jealousy. She has donated millions of dollars and the family as a whole is a sole contributor as to why our community’s economy is not totally destroyed. What have you donated today? Nothing but a few words on an internet forum. My, how the community thanks you! -_-

I totally agree with Jennifer. And a few others. In a time on unemployment, and hardships, this chick is working out in a fur lined hoodie? You cannot be serious. …she sounds like a crazy person SCREAMING over the dogs. I dont care if you live in a 3000 squarefoot brownstone, or a 20,0000 foot complete waste of brass and cash……….if you own 40 dogs, you are a HOARDER with a problem. Also one final comment…..”Worked hard for her money”? Please. SOCIALITES do not work. Enough said. I loathe people who flaunt there excess in these hard times. – Loren
