A martini is a terrible thing to waste.

Valentine’s Day at The Olde English.

As you might know, on your birthday at The Olde English, you get a big tea cup that is filled with beer and has a piece of dry ice in it that makes it look like a big gigantic steaming cup of tea.

But it’s not tea, it’s beer.  Good beer.

So this Valentine’s Day, we have a Tea for Two Price Fix Menu going on at The Olde English, for you and a friend.

For $60 per couple ($30 bucks each if you’re a cheap date and are paying separately)… you get:

Appetizer:

1) Thai BBQ Shrimp (Prawn) Skewers

Entree Choices:

1) English Short-Rib cooked in ale, ginger, brown sugar and served  over a root vegetable mash topped with fried vidalia onions.

2) Sautéed Airline Breast served in a creamy curry sauce over forbidden rice with julienne vegetables.

3) Stuffed Kahluha Pork Tenderloin served over roasted red potatoes.

4) Vegetarian:  Wild mushroom Ragu (shataki, oyster, morel and porcini) served over a seared risotto cake.

Dessert:

1) Shortbread with fresh berries and creme fraiche.

Reservations are recommended for the evening. They can be easily ordered though with the Paypal ‘Buy Now’ button below… or by calling The Olde English at 518-434-6533.

We’re looking forward to hosting a romantic AND/OR friendly evening for you and yours!

If you don’t eat seafood for have a date, then you won’t go to the Olde English for Valentine’s Day. Why the snark?

The date part was a joke…wasn’t trying to be snarky. Just really wanted to know what a vegetarian or someone allergic to the appetizer would do…is there a substitute?

Matt,is there always one in every crowd? Three is a crowd, right? I hate beer and scotch and seafood and English Pubs. Did I mention I’m allergic to peanuts….. Jeezus.

    Matt,
We went to the Olde English last night for the Tea for Two and it was awesome! The Thai BBQ shrimp skewers were so flavorful! You should add them to the menu permanently. The Jameson whipped cream on the warm buttery shortbread was also amazing. Thanks for giving my date and I a place other than a stuffy expensive restaurant full of old people to go on Valentine’s Day! The OE is a wonderful, unique place!
