By the time you read this, I will be in sunny (hopefully) Miami, Florida. Â (as a matter of fact, I am writing this in the air on the flight. Â I booked this flight last minute, and paid quite handsomely for my spontaneity. Â (I never understand that. Â Don’t they want to fill up their flights? Â You would think the longer you wait, the cheaper it’d be.) Â I’ll be staying at the Standard Spa & Hotel again, because they don’t allow children.
Anyway, enough about me.

John just because the picture is captioned VA doesn’t mean he lives there, you really shouldn’t judge a picture by its cover and if the contest officials had a problem with it they would have pointed it out. So thanks for turning a great contest into political crap.. Don’t be jealous!! FYI his owner lives in Albany!!!

Emily, thank you for so politely answering a completely valid question that many voters were curious about.. If it says Duke from VA, I’m sure if you think about it for a second, you can see where one would be confused. I certainly did not turn this contest into “political crap” – we all love this blog and I don’t appreciate that being questioned. I do feel better knowing we can keep this contest local. It’s apparent that some people are a fan of Duke, but I’m absolutely not jealous.
