First, thank you to all the volunteers who helped out with yesterday’s Oktoberfest Celebration in North Albany. Â We couldn’t have done it without you.
Secondly, thank you to Jerry Jennings, the Mayor of Albany, and the City officials, who allowed us to have the 3rd annual (I hope) block party.
And last but not least, thank you to all 5,000-6,000 of you who braved the cold rain to have a beer with us. Â I personally had a great time, and have finally regained feeling back in my fingers from pouring beers in the cold.
Photos from Pete to come a little later…

It was a craptastic day but my husband and I had a fabulous time. Thanks for organizing a great event in the ALB.

Awesome time Matt. After your brother easily sold me a piece of fried dough – I realized I knew him from days of Lisbon Ave in Buffalo. Such a small world! My friends and I had a great time. Thanks for putting together such a fun event and we look forward to it being an annual thing as well!

Ditto on the thanks to the people who made this happen. Great job all around. Especially you for gettin it started. Whoever did the screening/hiring of the beergirls should get a raise. They were all gorgeous, and did a great job.
Hopefully I see you at Wolff’s soon, but we’ll definitely be back next year. F the weather!
I’m thinkin you should name next year’s trophy the “Jackson Trophy”. He’s won the first two weinerdog races, and done it with grace and dignity. And no poop. They did it in the NFL, and that little experiment seems to be doing ok. I may be a little biased tho. Awesome time, thanks again.

Volunteering was so much fun! Despite the cold, wet weather. It was my first Oktoberfest experience and being able to volunteer was so much fun, met some great people and had a great time watching the festivities and drunks :-)
