The photo above was sent to us by Friday Puppy reader, Adam Cringle. Â Adam writes:
[The photo] is actually on Peascod street in Windsor, UK. Â It is a street with a bunch of shops on it and leads right up to the castle. Â I thought it was ‘The High Street’ but that was the one right next to the castle.
The picture is of a member of the Irish Army and the Army’s dog (an Irish Wolfhound). Â I was over in Windsor on Business and passed by the two and asked for a quick pic. Â If you need some sort of consent from the individual in the picture to post it, I do not have it. Â I am sure the dog is fine with it though, haha.

Matt- could you maybe block out the soldier’s face? My brother is in airforce and I know he isn’t supposed to have pictures of himself in uniform on the web for security reasons. Just a thought.

OMG Kimberly what on earth are you blabbering on about?! Does that mean EVERY photo taken of EVERY soldier needs a blanked out face!?!?
Think about that love, just for 1 second.

The Soldier is in the British Army. His regiment is the “Irish Guards” Stemming from the pre-partition of Ireland several Irish Regiments exist in the British Army. The Guards and The Royal Irish Regiment both share wolfhounds as mascots. Conmael is the name of the current Irish Guards dog and Brian Boru is the name of ALL the dogs in the role.
