This Saturday at the Biergarten was the Stein Holding Competition.  It was a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and we raised $7,000 !  (each of the restaurants gave $1,000 to participate in this competition… wasn’t that nice of them.)

A sincere thank you to all the participants….McGrievy’s, Blue 82, Pearl Street Pub, Rock’s, Appletini’s, Fuze Box… and of course, Pete DiFondi!  What a great time.  I can’t remember the last time I got so worked up about something.  (actually, yes I can.  It was last week.  I was at the OTB betting on a horse called “Matt’s Crappy Puppy” and it came in 3rd behind two better, faster horses called “Table Hopping” and “On The Edge”.)

Congratulations, by the way, goes out to Cliff from McGrievy’s in Waterford, NY who won the competition!   I had such a blast hanging out with Art Riley (the owner of McGrievy’s) and his friends and his mom!  They brought down a literal busload of the nicest, funnest (that might not be a word) people.

Thanks to everyone who participated, came down to watch, and gave to the fundraiser.  We appreciate it very much.  (And by the way, there’s only 3 more days left to give to my Leukemia & Lymphoma Man of the Year campaign/competition…. you can do so by clicking HERE.)
